Career GPS 2014
Today I will be informing you on the
2014 event called Career GPS. I'll be telling you what it is, who is here, what
the purpose is, and what the outcome is.
Career GPS was held at Cal Expo in
Sacramento, CA on September 24th and 25th from around 11am to 3pm. It is an
event that has many colleges, and companies with working people informing you
on what they do, where they come from, how to get there, and any additional
information you need to find the right career. Erick Calderon 17, a 12th Grade
Sava Power Inn Student! “Good for others that may need some help, and figure
out there future.” This event was especially for middle schools, and High
School students. They had schools from Sacramento State to Federico Beauty School!
The Army and Air Force were here for people interested in those fields.
PG&E, Nurses, and even Construction workers were there. Anahi Rodriguez 15,
a 10th Grade Sava Elk Grove student! “I think it's very informational, and it
gives a lot of opportunities. I had a very great time! " The reason they
had this event was to inform students and even adults on all the possibilities
they have for now and for the future. Maria Wilson 14, a 9th Grade student of
the School of Engineering & Sciences, “I like that the people in the booths
were friendly and they try to talk to you and help you.” After everything, I
think Career GPS was a very informational and enjoyable event for all!
